Easter 2018

We enjoyed a wonderful 4 days off together during the long Easter weekend.  It’s always such a treat to have 4 days in a row where neither of us has work or school!

As we prepared for Easter, we enjoyed our annual visit to a local market to visit the baby chicks.

We went to a Steve Green concert.  Oh how I enjoy his concerts.  Such a time of praise and worship!!

We also prepared for the weekend by decorating eggs.  This year I heard of a new way to decorate them using whipped topping and neon food colouring.  It was a neat way to do them, enjoyable for my creative girl and oh so pretty in the end!

Easter 2017 ~ Easter Sunday

Easter Sunday is such an amazing day!  A day we celebrate that Christ is Risen!!  Easter is always a special time and it always reminds me of the Easter Sunday 4 years ago when my precious little girl invited Jesus to live in her heart!

Before going to church Hannah had fun gathering the eggs and treats.

A Quick Catch Up Post for March

I’ve had such fun posting about our cruise that our day to day posts were put on the back burner.  Here’s a few things that we were up to in March.

Birthdays abounded!  I can’t believe that my ‘little’ niece Rebecca turned 15!!  (Seen here with her wonderful friend Janelle)

Grandpa celebrated his birthday in mid March.  (The girls did their own makeup.  Betcha couldn’t tell!! )

 

We’ve spent some fun times with my brother and his family this past month.  The consistent theme for the girls are their princess dresses.  Love this age!!

Nana celebrated her birthday too!

At the end of the month Hannah enjoyed a wonderful afternoon celebrating at one of her little friend’s birthday at a party where they painted ceramics.  She loved this!!

St. Patrick’s Day

Hannah took her Baby Simba to Show and Share at school.  She is to prepare clues about her friend to tell the class to help them guess.  Her clues were: 

1. He is a boy
2. He is yellow
3. He has paws
4. He has a tail

Hannah and Makenna also found out something really exciting in March!!

This evening my brother Dave babysat the kids while the mommies went out to plan our dining for our trip.  SO much fun to be making plans to be at Disney with my brother, SIL Trish, niece Makenna and nephew Kallen.  2 other families that we’re friends with will also be there the same week so we have bits of time planned with each of them too.  A wonderful combination of time with family and friends plus lots and lots of Hannah and Mommy time alone, something Hannah and I both cherish!

Welcome 2013!

New Year’s Eve Hannah and I got together with special friends.  We did this to welcome 2012 and were excited to continue the tradition again.  It’s a pj party and sleepover so we’re not only able to ring in the new year together but the next day we share a delicious brunch before going our separate ways.

Our kiddos are the best of friends and enjoy sharing time together.

For supper each of the kiddos decorated their own pizza. 

My sweetie chose Mickey Mouse shaped pizza.  Surprise, surprise!

We tucked our little sweeties in around 8:30 and then enjoyed an evening of fun for the adults that included lots of delicious food, talking, laughter and hilarious karaoke.

The kids started the new year by enjoying a yummy gingerbread house.  Gotta love the holidays!

Hannah and I are SO blessed to have such special friends in our lives and we feel very much like family.

Happy St. Paddy’s Day!

Hannah and I are off for an evening of fun with friends but before we go we wanted to take a quick moment to say…err, yell, ‘Happy St. Patrick’s Day!’ 

Was there any question this would be Hannah’s holiday attire when I saw it?  No way!!

An Irish Blessing

Mid Autumn Moon Festival

This year’s early Mid Autumn Moon Festival snuck up on us and I was surprised when Ange emailed our regular little festival group and invited us to their place for supper. Hannah and I were quick to say yes and thankfully so was J’s family.  Yay!

There were even lantern crafts for the kiddos!  Thanks Ange and J!

After supper we prepared to take the kiddos out for a walk with their lanterns that they were oh so proud of….and rightfully so!  At one point something needed to be done so I offered to ‘hold the baby.’  Heh…this is what quickly happened.  Can you tell I’m in my glory?  Ange and J both had babies recently so there were 2 little loves at the party.

Even though Hannah was 8 months when we became a family, she was still very much a baby.  Oh how fun it was to enjoy a few baby cuddles and snuggles that night!

We put jackets on and headed out for a fun walk with our lanterns while looking at the beautiful autumn moon!  Hannah displaying her lantern.
