Jun 2018 This and That

Here are some odds and sods of our June activities.

LOL!  Hannah found out the hard way that it’s important to leave the beaters deep in the mixing bowl.  Isn’t she the cutest?!!

Her beautiful smile and sparkling eyes still melt me every single day!

I work with the best people!  These 3 fun guys are the ones I go for coffee with.  I’m reminded it’s time for coffee either by the faces in the window

or, this!!  They make me laugh every-single-day!!!

Hannah worked really hard to prepare for her Level 1 Royal Conservatory piano exam and she did great!

Occasionally I need to work overtime.  Hannah loves it when she gets to come to work with Mommy!  The funny thing is that at one time I had to go discuss something with a co-worker and probably left my office for about 5 mins.  I came back to find her checking out the snacks that I’d ‘possibly’ stored in my overhead.  I asked if I’d left the cabinet unlocked and she giggled and said, ‘No!  I found your hidden key!’  LOL – So much for my safe hiding spot if my 9yo can find it in mere minutes!

When the boss is away I’m the one who convinces the fill-in that it’s our team’s tradition to go out for ice cream the Friday afternoon before a long weekend.  (Ummm…maybe we’d only done it once but I think this second time makes it an official tradition!  Yes – I am the trouble maker at work! Open-mouthed smile)

Last Day of Grade 3

It’s hard to believe that Grade 3 is already complete for Hannah!  How can that possibly be??

Jun 28a

This picture was from her first day in September 2017.  (Mommy is missing those sweet baby teeth!)

Hannah has been beyond blessed to have the same teacher for both Grades 2 and 3.  We love you Mme N and will miss you so much!

In these pics you can really see the changes as it was taken her first day of Grade 2 in September 2016.

A Trip to the Science Centre

Just before Hannah finished Grade 3 her class went on a trip to the Science Centre in Toronto and I was happy to go along.

Jun 27a

There were so many great hands on activities but it did make me wish we had a children’s museum in the area.  We went to one in San Francisco when she was younger and had a blast!

Hannah, today was such a special day!  You have followed God’s leading in your life and mom is overwhelmed with love for you to see you listening so intently to God’s leading in your life.  My prayer is that you always stay close to Him!

Mommy loves you!!

Ribfest 2018

The town that Mom and Dad live in hosts an annual Ribfest early in June and we have been going to this event with Mom and Dad since Hannah was a toddler.  This year Uncle Dave, Auntie Trish and their kiddos were able to go as well.  A great time was had by all!

Jump Rope for Heart 2018

One of the annual fund raisers that Hannah’s school does each June is that the children participate in Jump Rope for Heart.  Hannah has an early lunch hour of 10:50 – 11:50am which means many activities start at noon.  This works wonderfully for me as I can quickly head to her school from work at lunch and share in the activities that she’s doing.

I don’t often tell her when I’m going to do this just in case I get held up at work so it’s a special treat when I can surprise her!
