Gingerbread House 2016

We have gone to a gingerbread class with family and friends since Hannah was little and we were excited to go again this year although sadly we were missing a few.

Hannah, Makenna, Kallen and Nathan were the kiddos who were ab le to go this Christmas.

I think Kallen ate as much icing as made it onto his house.  

Faces always help when big decorating decisions are being made. 

Hannah and Makenna are the best of friends!  I love the friendship these cousins share.

Gingerbread Houses 2015

Since the kiddos were little we've had a tradition of getting together to attend a gingerbread class at a local grocery store.  We were thankful when we found a night when all 4 families were available again this year.

As they're grown the kids are able to do more and more on their own and we were there as support and to hold things as they dry.  Oh yah, and possibly my SIL Trish and I ate some of the extra pieces Kallen chose not to use. 

It's neat to see how creative each child is and how each home is unique from the others.  This is Hannah's finished house as she sprinkled her house in snow.

A Tradition Continues–Gingerbread House Decorating

For the past couple of years we’ve shared an evening with family and friends decorating gingerbread houses.  (2012 and 2011)  We started talking about going again this year way back in October but with our busy schedules we just couldn’t find an evening that worked for all of us.  Too bad!

I still wanted to enjoy this evening with Hannah so I booked it for us alone.  The store we normally go to was not offering the class on a night we were available so we went to different location of the same store.  Sadly it just wasn’t the same and we’ll be headed back to our home store next year.  We found out the hard way that all cooking classes are not created equal.

That being said, Hannah enjoyed herself and truly that’s all that matters!
