Can't Pass Up a Summer Sale!

Wasn't it just 2 days ago that I was talking about not buying clothes for Hannah? Oops! Couldn't pass this little number up!

Carol and I were shopping at the Superstore last night and of course I had to check out the baby section. They're clearing out their summer stock and we came across this adorable little sundress with a matching hat and bloomers. It's size 24months so I figure it's a safe buy. Isn't it adorable? Love all the fun, bright colours!

PS - Dresses are so much more fun to buy than diapers which is my standard 'I-need-to-buy-something-for-Hannah' purchase.

  1. Yes, we know we should probably wait on clothes. But, if we can do it and it helps us along the way, shop on, sister ;0)

  2. Oh my gosh, I did the same thing when I was waiting.... I won't shop anymore, then something would catch my eye!!

I was able to get use out of everything, but keep in mind that you might not get to use the 9-12 months stuff for long. I would suggest a 12 month and up rule when shopping!

P/S The yellow/orange bow is going to look great wit the outfit!

  4. What an adorable dress! You've been buying diapers? Hmmm ... maybe I should start buying some of those! :o)

  5. Stacey - Ooo...you're right! Didn't even think of that when I made my purchse! Now...what to buy that's red + white! ;o)

The only thing that saves my wallet is the seasons! Too risky to buy much when you live in Canada!

Made in China - I'm buying the diapers then taping the bill to them just in case they're the wrong size or if I change brands. So far I'm buying the odd package of Pampers Size 3. Hopefully they're a safe buy.

PS - None of you are helping the 'I should't be buying anything' phrase that I keep repeating to myself! :o)

  6. Catherine, as someone who bought SCADS of clothes during the wait, I can tell you, this sickness doesn't go away. I still love buying clothes for my girl! I spent $65 at Gymboree.com today, but got two dresses, a skirt, shorts, two tops and some barettes for next summer. Like you, I can't resist a bargain!

  8. Hi Cathy,

I've been thinking of you quite a bit since the family reunion; what an exciting time this must be for you! I'm sure you will enjoy the journey.
I'll be checking in periodically to see how things are going. I think I'll enjoy it right along with you!

    Take care, Love, Robyne

  10. Love that dress!! I've been holding off on clothing, not knowing what size to buy...but you're right! A summer size 24 months is probably very safe! On sale? Even better!! :-)

  11. I hit the Superstore in Thunder Bay last weekend. I scored several bathingsuits and short sets.

I even managed to find a ladybug bikini in 24 month size and a ladybug short sets.

At this rate, I'll be able to hit the winter sales too!

  12. That is SO cute! I've been trying not to buy anything too (I'm further away than you) but I couldn't resist buying this "My Dad Rocks" T-Shirt. Oh well! It's SO fun to look at baby clothes!
