I love the look of headbands with bows so recently ordered a few from the gal on Etsy who makes most of Hannah’s bows. I was excited when they arrived in the mail!
Hannah? Not so much! She’s never worn a headband so it took a bit to convince her to try it but once I did, oh my did she look adorable!!
My next goal is to figure out how to keep the headbands on her head. She didn’t take it out but the bottom part rolled up her head and by the time we arrived at church it was pretty much out. Any suggestions?
Until then, I’m going to persevere with the headbands as I love the look on my little sweetie!
They might be a bit small if they are schooching up. Try pulling it all the way down and then when you bring it up, use it to push back her bangs and then keep the front a bit lower ( more toward her forehead and further from her crown), that may help too.
ReplyDeleteAww, she looks adorable. I have no helpful hints at all and their super slick shiny hair is of no assistance. I'll be checking back for tips.
ReplyDeleteCute! I always had to use small hair clips to hold them in my girls' hair. I used the plain metal kinds that sort of spring shut. I think I used to hide them behind their ears. Hope that helps!
ReplyDeletePerhaps a narrower headband . . .?
ReplyDeleteAs much as I wish I had a little cutie to put a headband on, I have this problem for myself when I wear any elastic type headbands! I'll be checking back for suggestions and wishing I looked half as cute as Hannah in a headband ;)
ReplyDeleteI've never been able to wear them myself. My daughter loves headbands but she wears the hard U shaped ones. You have to pick these carefully though as some are spiked on the inside and they aren't comfortable.
ReplyDeleteSo cute! What a pretty girl :)
ReplyDeleteThe headband is super cute! I have the same problem with the headbands that go all the way around. I think my head just isn't the right shape! That being said, I usually buy the hard U-shaped headbands, instead. No problems with those!
ReplyDeleteLove headbands... toooo cute..
ReplyDeleteCUTE!!! Okay,,, secret to the head band is to put the square velcro on the areas that need to stay in place. you would use the spiney side. You can buy square or round adhesive backed ones in the office area of stores or craft stores. Another idea but not working as great is to put a line of rubbery glue in the area.
ReplyDeletehope this helps.
It may be too small or too big. I usually use bobby pins to hold my daughter's headbands and hair accessories down, also prevents them from getting lost! Let me know if this works for her. She looks adorable (she always does)! Cindy
ReplyDeleteHow adorable she is!!!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely adorable!!!!
ReplyDeleteOh, by the way, we're in the Washington Great Wolf Lodge and I told TD that next time we HAVE to go to the one near you. Can you imagine the fun we girls would have together? (The little ones and the big ones alike, LOL).
ReplyDeleteHey Catherine! Its me...Kim from MJ!!! Long time no talk. My Hannah is growing so fast. What a beautiful girl!!!!! Im trying to do some blog catch ups with those not on Facebook. (hint hint)!!! Anyways....Channing cant wear those headbands either. They stay for 1 sec and then ride up. I buy the rubber type ones with "little teeth" on them. Google SHURUBA. My friend here sells African hair products out of her home & has a great selection of headbands. CHEAP too. Tell her I sent you! You will LOVE them on Hannah. They last forever too! Hope to catch up more soon! HUGS
