Disney on Ice–Worlds of Fantasy
Sunday afternoon Hannah and I joined her best friend Ben and his parents in Toronto to see ‘Disney on Ice – Worlds of Fantasy’.
She’d seen the ads on Disney Junior for the past couple of months and called me to watch them each time they were on. Little did she know that months earlier we’d already purchased tickets.
One of Hannah’s favourite treats when we go to special performances is cotton candy. This time it came with this sweet little Tinkerbell flower hat and a Cars hat for the boys.
Knowing we were going to see this show after Christmas I picked up a couple of fun light-up, spinney toys for the kids when we were at Disney in November. They were a huge hit!
The first part of the show was Cars and the kids loved it!
Cars was followed by The Little Mermaid and Tinkerbell which Hannah quite enjoyed. I think Ben would have preferred Mater continue to skate around the ice rather than the fairies!
The final part of the show was Toy Story 3 and then Mickey and the gang joined them at the end.
My Disney loving gal really enjoyed the show and has talked often about when we go again next time. I think I’ll consider for our Christmas holidays again next year.
Love these fun, memories I’m able to create with my precious daughter!

Squishing as much fun as we possibly can into one day!
I love it when a day that was quiet fills up with lots and lots of fun! Friday morning we woke up and met Miss Liz and Ava for breakfast and then headed out to a local toboggan hill. The only other time Hannah had been on a sled it was down a little hill not much longer than the sled itself. This time not so much! Hannah had a cold so wasn’t overly excited about tobogganing but she did go down a few times before we called it a day.
Her first trip down the big hill.
Miss Liz helping Hannah up the hill
Eventually Mommy even got into the fun and went down the hill a couple of times. Can’t wait until we do this again!
We did a little running around after tobogganing including renewing Hannah’s passport and then met Uncle Dave, Aunt Trish and their family at the bowling alley.

Pretty impressed with her roll I’d say!
Kallen looking adorable perched on the bowling balls. Next year little man.
Sigh… Yes, if you look at the scores you’ll see that Hannah and I ended up only 10 pins apart in our scores. Oy!
Hannah and I are so blessed to have such an amazing family! By this point the girls were in need of naps but the bigger ‘kids’ and Kallen were happy to pose for a pic. We love you Noah, Josh, Kallen, Laken and Justin!
After bowling we went back to Dave and Trish’s place and enjoyed a supper of appetizers and a wonderful evening together. They introduced us to the XBox 360 Disneyland game. Want to try that one again!

Sweet Kallen’s first Christmas
After Christmas dinner we headed to our final home of the day. We joined Nana, Papa and GG for more Christmas fun. Hannah was a trooper but she was pooped by this time.
It must have been the year of the cap as Hannah gave this one to Papa.
By this point Hannah was her normal active self that she gets when she gets tired. Hugging Nana’s leg was the only pic I could snag of the two of them together
What a wonderful day Hannah and I shared together surrounded with the love of family and friends.
Christmas Eve and Christmas Morning 2012
What can I say? We had an absolutely wonderful day together and through it all I fell even more deeply in love (if that is even possible!) with my sweet little girl!! She is such a sweetie and oh how I love her!
Christmas Eve Hannah left cookies and milk out for Santa and reindeer food on the porch for his helpers. Our evening was thrown into a bit of a tizzy when the electricity went out at 5:20 and stayed off for the next 2.5 hours.
We are on the same power grid as our church so it was cancelled which was disappointing. It did give us a few extra minutes before heading to friends for their annual Christmas Eve open house and Hannah opened 1 present which was matching Christmas nightgowns for she and her ‘Baby’.
Mommy was too excited to sleep but I finally went to bed shortly before 2am. I’ve always been excited Christmas Eve and found it hard to fall asleep.
Christmas morning she was awake around 6:45 so we headed downstairs. On the way to the stairs she slipped by Bobble Chippey and the manger scene while saying Happy Birthday to baby Jesus. I suggested we read the Christmas story but my delightful 3yo said, ‘That’s okay Mommy. Santa was here and I want to open my presents!’ Heh….such a normal response from a 3yo!
We hurried downstairs and she squealed when she saw our tree!
We opened our stockings first and then began the gifts. I was amazed when she opened only one gift and then began to go through the rest of the gifts. I asked what she was doing and she said, ‘I opened one so now I’m looking for one for you Mommy.’ So sweet! I explained that I would have gifts at Grandma and Grandpa’s house so these were all for her.
Just what I wanted!!
Just like Mommy!
She received many great gifts from both Mommy and Santa
At 9:00 we headed over to our friend’s home where we shared our annual Christmas breakfast. Carol had left my gift on our doorstep the evening before with instructions to open it. What fun when she opened a gift Christmas Eve from her hubby and discovered that we now both had the same Christmas jammies! Can you see why we love this awesome family?
More Christmas Day fun to come…
