Sunday afternoon Hannah and I bundled up and met our friends Liz and Ava at a local pumpkin patch for some adventures on the farm!
The first stop was the barn where there were many animals to see, pat and feed. Hannah was in her glory! She’s braver than her mother when it comes to animals. I’m happy to stay behind the camera and capture the memories from there.
This cow sleeping with the chickens on his back just made me giggle.
Hannah enjoyed talking with and imitating the little chickens and she even found some food to feed them.
Every time I look at her Hannah seems to be growing up and maturing. Slow down sweetie…slow down! (And yes, we’re at the ‘I don’t want to look at the camera’ stage and if she does then coaxing out a smile is near impossible!)
You want us to sit on these pumpkins and pose for a picture? Yah, that’s not going to happen!
I think she was a little confused between this week on a tractor and our trip to Wonderland a couple of weeks ago.
Catching a wagon ride out to the pumpkin patch.
Mom, I found the perfect pumpkin but it’s almost as big as I am!
Little Miss Casual with her pumpkin
Posing with the pumpkins until…
The girls picked some corn up from the floor of the corn maze. Hannah wasn’t a huge fan of the maze but sure enjoyed pretending to eat the corn she found.
Thanks for a great visit to the pumpkin patch Liz and Ava!
Such Fun!!!!!! I just LOVE all the precious memories that you and Hannah are making together!
ReplyDeleteWe had our annual pumpkin patch visit last Saturday. It was such a glourious day! Unfortunately, my "blogger" is not here to document it. :(
Love, Love, LOVE all the pictures! Hannah is such a character! :o)
ReplyDeleteThe picture of the cow is hilarious!!
What a great time! I love the fun and good times you have with your sweetie.
ReplyDeleteKeep smilin!
I didn't know you had been to Wonderland. Meigan and I have season passes so we should try to meet next year.

Ummm Mom, I kinda lost my boot here, can you help a girl out :-)
ReplyDeleteCatherine, you are glowing! Is it me or have you lost some weight? You look fabulous!
PandJ_L, I didn't post the one where I was enjoying watching her run around on top of the hay bales when suddenly I realized she had not boots on at all! Heh...she'd kicked them off as they were cramping her style!
ReplyDeleteLove the Mom/Daughter pictures!! What a happy girl you have... truly blesses my heart right now. Thank you for your kind words - you have been such a blessing to me during our wait. Thank you sweet friend!
ReplyDeleteAs much as I hate to say goodbye to warm, sunny summer days at the beach, I absolutely love fall and the activities that we do in this season. This year we were so busy that we missed apple picking, which is always great fun with Charlotte's cousins. We did get to the pumpkins at the cottage--Charlotte is going through a phase where she doesn't want her photo taken, so it's getting harder and harder to get that "money" shot.
ReplyDeleteWhat is your secret to keep Hannah dressed in her outerwear? First of all, it's battle to get Charlotte dressed when she's in the house. As soon as she gets outside, she starts stripping. I'm soooo tired of hearing the tsk, tsk from people passing by, which is usually accompanied with "that child must be freezing cold!" Charlotte is usually engaged in some activity that she's enjoying and is happy. Wouldn't you think that if she were uncomfortably cold that she wouldn't be happy and would likely be making a fuss, which she isn't? So, to keep these passersby happy, and to reduce mommy's embarrasement, I really wish Charlotte would stay dressed.
What pumpkin patch did you go to that has a barn with animals? I'm hoping that the weather cooperates a little longer so that we can squeeze in a few more activities. We're closing the cottage this weekend, which is sad, but it will free up our time on the weekends to do other things and to catch up with friends and family.
Catherine, I love your brown and pink coat--where did you get it? Hannah looks so cute in her princess coat.
One of the best farms in the area! Glad you had such a fun time, but how could you not with such great company as Liz and Ava. Two great friends!
