I was able to book a last minute vacation day last week (gotta love 26 years with the same employer ~ 6 weeks of vacation days to spend with my girl ) and we accompanied friends to a conservation area with a splash pad, wading pools and big pool. We were only there a few hours but we had such fun!
The kids enjoyed hanging out and playing together
including splashing each other every opportunity they got.
As you can see it was a beautiful, sunny morning so it was hard to believe that rain was forecast for the afternoon. We chose to ignore the forecast although given that the pools were almost empty it appeared many others made a different choice for their day.
After the wading pool play the kids moved over to the splash pad.
Running through the rain arch.
Ange and family. I am so thankful that Ange is Hannah’s amazing daycare provider and beyond that, our families are also friends and enjoy hanging out together.
Sweet little I enjoying her lunch
After lunch we headed into the big pool so I left my camera behind. Within minutes of entering the pool it clouded over, rained a bit and then…whoosh, the rain came down in torrents!
We changed the kids just in time for the sun to come back out. LOL!
We all went our separate ways and Hannah and I decided to stop at a new park before the next wave of rain rolled in.
We headed to my parents house for swimming and supper. Hannah always loves spending time with Bec Bec and her friends.
A great day together and a wonderful way to start our 4 day weekend!
It seems like you haven't blogged for awhile! What a fun day!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun day! Love summertime and lots of pool time; and not those pesky afternoon sun showers. We are ready for back to school next week, seems like it is way too soon!
