Reading the instructions
When Mark brought this piece up from the basement and placed it against the wall I began to cry. He's like, 'What's wrong? No crying! Miiicccchhhhheelle!!' LOL! Just seeing the crib begin to take shape after having been in the basement in a box for over 3 years, was a little overwhelming. Heh...sorry Mark.

ReplyDeleteYay!!! Soooooo cool!! and if you ever want to be EVEN closer to your sweet girl you can remove the one side rail and push her crib right up next to your bed!!! I did that with Caden and Carter and I loved it!!! :o)

ReplyDeleteI know it's early for suggestions, but when you and she are ready to transition her to her room, put her down for her nap in her room during the day so that she sees where she is and then when she goes to bed that night, it won't be so scary.
ReplyDeleteYou'll know when it's time and you'll know your daughter well enough by then to know if this suggestion will work, but it worked for us.

Congratulations on having a CRIB IN YOUR ROOM! Next up, waking up in the middle of the night just to watch you daughter sleep.
I am so excited for you! I LOVE Hannah's room. It is perfect! Seeing the pictures of the crib in your room made me a little teary, too.

ReplyDeleteI don't want to be a downer, but since you said that you had your crib for 3 years, did you happen to check if it was recalled. If it was made by Simplicity, they have had a TON of cribs recalled. My daughters crib was one of them.
I just wanted to check to be sure nothing happens to your little one.
