M3 here, acting as calm, objective backup blogger during Catherine's insanely exciting trip. (Oh who am I kidding, there will be no calmness, and objectivity's probably not in the cards either.)
The big news is that as of right this minute, Catherine is IN THE AIR! That's right, she is flying to China to meet Hannah, this very second.
A little funny, while we're waiting for a report of safe travels: I talked to Catherine at midnight last night (um, that was five hours before she was supposed to be picked up for the airport) and there was not one single thing in her suitcase as yet. Crazy girl!!
After five hours of frenetic activity (judging by the timestamp on these images she sent and asked me to post), this was the sight just minutes before that airport pickup. Wahoo!
Go, Catherine, go! Folks all around the world are cheering for you and we all can't wait to hear more.

ReplyDeleteSafe travels to you and your family Catherine.
Dear Catherine,
ReplyDeleteI live in Germany, and really want to adopt one day. My family thinks I'm weird, but it is a HUGE part of my life.
Your blog was the first I ever read, and I check it every day when I get home from school. I have been following your incredible journey since May, and I am really happy for you, and can't wait for your baby to be in your arms.
You really do have a lot of people behind you.
Good Luck,
From a military brat
Good luck Catherine! I look forward to following your journey!!

ReplyDeleteRe-living our dreams through Catherine's journey! Can't wait! This is soooo exciting!
I had to laugh at her last-minute packing. My husband set up a "staging area" for our packing. We had 2 long tables in our spare room lined up with things to take, paring it down as we discovered some things wouldn't fit.

ReplyDeleteSafe travels!looking forward to following along and watching this beautiful reunion all unfold.
ReplyDeleteLast-minute-packers unite! Although I was packing for six, soon to be seven, I wasn't doing much better the night before we left. Instead of packing, I had to make one more stinking trip to Wal-Mart. I distinctly remember having a meltdown in the store less than 12 hours before departure because the jewelry lady wouldn't change the battery in my watch because I didn't buy it there.
ReplyDeleteSO excited to read the updates! Thanks, M3!

Catherine, just came back to see if there are any updates yet...Ava saw the picture of your "before" packing and said, "Oh!, that's a BIG mess, she has to clean it up!" Had to laugh, as she seems to be OK living with her "mess" in the toy room...a joy you will soon be able to share.
