WOW! 3 years! 36 months! 156 weeks! 1096 days!! That's how long my file/dossier has been in China! Happy Hannah~ versary!!Want to know the really cool thing though? My dossier is so close to the front of the line that I can hardly stand it! Soon someone will be picking it up, blowing off the dust and opening it up to match Hannah and I together!!! I'm still thinking this will happen in June or July but there is a small chance I could see Hannah's face as early as the latter part of May. Oh yah...now that would be the very best birthday gift evah!!
For now, I wait and celebrate with those who are in line ahead of me. This week or next, 3 friends should be receiving their referrals and I couldn't be more excited for them!
Waiting with excitement to see my sweet baby girl's face for the very first time and trusting God for His perfect timing! And, while I wait I continue to prepare for Hannah. This weeks big purchase? Diapers! Heh....who would have known buying diapers could be so exciting? :o)

Oh, I was so glad that I had stocked up on size three diapers, wipes, baby food and clothes. It was nice to come home with some Chinese formula and not have to leave the house for the necessities! It won't be much longer!!!! :)

ReplyDeleteCongrats on 3 years! Such a long time, but the end is now so close! I can so relate to your diaper purchase. I remember buying my first box of diapers pre-China and feeling so excited. Who knew that diapers could make someone so happy! Fingers crossed that the next set of referrals is a BIG one!

ReplyDeleteDarn!!! I forgot to give you those diapers I said I would! They were given to us by my parents in preparation for our girl from China...but they will likely degrade before we bring her home. Remind me the next time you're over. :)
You'll always need diapers. Congrats on making it 3 years! And now you are definitely counting months... even weeks, instead of years until you'll meet your little angel.

ReplyDeleteWhen we got Mia she was in size 2 diapers at 8 months old. She never got out of size 3. I would wait to get a referral before buying a ton more diapers. You might need size 2.

We met Lauren just one month short of our three year LIDversary. While we were in China I was thinking about all my waiting friends who would see three years come and go. I so wish things would speed up. Come on May...I'm praying you'll meet Hannah by July!

ReplyDeleteWe have the same car seat and I think the size 3 cruisers are a good size. I love pampers. Go to pampers.com and create an account. Then you can type in the barcodes on the inside of the diaper bags and over time you can get enough points to get free stuff!
