Frozen

Hannah has been talking about going to see ‘Frozen’ since we saw the first previews last winter.

Last weekend she and I went with her cousin Makenna and my SIL Trish for a girls afternoon out.  What fun we had!IMG_1623

I wasn’t sure if this movie might be a little too scary for her but she really enjoyed it and when things got too intense she just buried her head in my shoulder until that portion passed.  I found it funny to see what parts she found ‘scary’.  She watched the trolls just fine but was upset when the sisters were separated.

If you’re looking for a great family movie to attend this holiday season, Hannah and I give Frozen 2 thumbs up!

  1. So you 2 are the new version of Siskel and Ebert....lol.
I must recommend to you 2 when it comes back on is Junior Masterchef with Gordon Ramsey. I will let you know when it comes back on tv. Do you like those kind of shows?

  2. Frozen is on the list of things we want to do during the Christmas holidays. It will Charlotte's first time in a movie theatre. We just purchased tickets for Disney on Ice--surprise from Nana. I think our girls are at the perfect age to watch this wonderful show--are you going this year?

    1. I had hoped to take her to see Disney on Ice with the Princesses but have had to cut back this Christmas due to February's surprise cruise.

I'm sure you'll have a great time and Charlotte will love it! Enjoy!!

    2. Seeing and being in the presence of princesses for a week is waaaay better than seeing them from a distance on ice. I can't wait until we can take Charlotte on a cruise. We were just talking about cruising at pottery last night and it got me thinking...again. Once employment is a little more regular, maybe we'll look into it, again.

  3. Marin & I went to see Frozen while Matthew was out of town on a work trip. We both loved it so much that we've decided to take Daddy this time and see it again! I really think this one will be added to the Disney classics, instead of being a passing phase! I think Frozen is in the same league as Beauty & The Beast, Little Mermaid, and Aladdin!

    1. I would like to see it again too, this time in 3D. We went to a 'normal' showing the first time.

I'm hoping it will still be around in February when we're on the Fantasy and we'll be able to watch it in 3D then.

    2. Aladdin is also plays on the disney cruises. Not sure which one you'll be on but be sure to see it if it's playing!

  4. Yes! I think 3D would be awesome! We saw the "normal" version too, but I agree with giving 3D a try. I am so excited for you guys & your cruise! I am already dying for your trip report & you haven't even left yet! :)

    1. LOL! I'm already stressing on how much needs to be done before our cruise. It's all completely self induced of course but since this isn't something we'll be able to do often I want to do all the 'extras' that will add to the cruise. Lots of projects that need to be done. Must get started on these as soon as Christmas is over.

  5. Ohhhh, what kind of 'extras'? I'm nosy! Ha! Like things to take with you on the trip? Or things you want to buy once you are on the ship? Ah yes, I'm with you on the self induced stressors. I obsess for weeks about what Marin will wear on our trips and then he usually ends up in something like the too short for him sweatpants he was wearing when you saw us at Disney! Ha!

    1. I've signed us up for a Fish Extender exchange. It's a little like Secret Santa but you sign your name. :o). There are 19 cabins in our group. I'm making 1 gift for each cabin plus taking Canadian can't for each child. We'll walk around the ship one day and deliver our gifts to each cabin and put them in their fish extenders which is a little like a single row of a shoe tree with one pocket for each person in the cabin. I also want to decorate our door with magnets. Regular ones at first then change them up on Hannah's birthday! These are a couple if our 'extras' :o)

    3. Doe the cruise have a birthday package where the staff decorates your door and room?

  7. The plan is late Jan/early Feb, shortly before the cruise as I know she'll find it hard to wait! She already talks about 'Mickey's Boat' ALL the time!!
