Mother's Day with the Ones We Love

Hannah and I were blessed to begin Mother's Day together and then later we shared it with the ones we love most.

This is us posing with the beautiful hair jewels she chose for Mommy.  (Being brave posting a picture without makeup and bed head.)

After church we went to Nana and Papa's and enjoyed lunch with them

plus a number of their family too. Life is busy and we don't get to see Auntie Joy and Auntie Japhia nearly as often as we'd like so we appreciate any moments we share together.

Next we went to our traditional Mother's Day dinner at a restaurant we enjoy and shared a wonderful supper with Grandma and Grandpa.

Hannah shared a dessert with G&G and couldn't help but lick the plate.  LOL!  The rest of us only wish we could do this!

Mommy, Hannah and Grandma.  We are SO blessed to be family!

Hannah XiaoFen, I love you more than words can express and will be forever thankful that God created our family in the way that He did!  He sure does love us a lot!!!  He planned our family before the beginning of time. You and mommy - FAMILY.  Together...forever!!!

For you created my inmost being;
    you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
    your works are wonderful,
    I know that full well.
 My frame was not hidden from you
    when I was made in the secret place,
    when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.
Your eyes saw my unformed body;
    all the days ordained for me were written in your book
    before one of them came to be.
 Psalm 139: 13 - 16

  3. Love the pictures. I have to admit that I am a bit confused as to who is who....Nana and Papa, Grandma and Grandpa- which ones are your parents? And what is the relationship to the others? Sorry I am not sure of all of this.

    Hannah is one blessed girl to have so many family members in her life. I had just one Grandma growing up and she was so special to me. My daughters also just have my husband's mom (oh and his grandmother). I would love to have that much extended family still with us.

    1. LOL! I understand your confusion.

      Grandma and Grandpa are my parents. Nana and Papa are special friends Sharon and Larry who have been like a second set of parents to me since I was a teen. Although not family by blood we are still family.

      Hannah is blessed to have Grandma and Grandpa in her life as well as Nana and Papa and in turn Grandma Dale and GG who are Sharon's parent's so Hannah's great-grandparents!

      We are SO blessed to have such a wonderful family! We all get along wonderfully and once a year take a trip to FL together.

  4. You are just as beautiful without makeup! :) I will keep you in my prayers and I know that things will fall into place with after-school care. Isn't it nice that we have our mommy instinct to tell us when the right situation comes along? Good luck!
