Tuesday morning we were up and on our way long before the sun decided to greet us. We were going to the Magic Kingdom and couldn’t wait to get there!
After a quick stop at our Disney Resort ~ Pop Century, we boarded the bus to the MK.
It was amazing to visit Disney for Hannah’s first trip with all of her grandparent’s! (My parents as well as my best friend and her hubby who are Hannah’s honourary grandparents.)
As we entered the gates there were characters waiting to welcome us and we began our day with a visit with Snow White. Hannah didn’t quite know what to think about her but Mommy enjoyed the experience. :o)
As we rounded the bend and the castle came into view it was goose bumps as always. I was at Disney with Hannah!!!! Oh the years I had dreamed about this moment and now it was coming true!
Dumbo was the first ride of the day and it was fun for all of us!
Next it was on to Cinderella’s carousel.
Even between rides Hannah had her choice of transportation. Sometimes she’d ride in her stroller, other times in the carrier or walk and still other times hitched a ride on Nana’s scooter.
(Renting this was a great decision. Last time my parents were at Disney mom needed one due to a problem with her foot and this time it helped Sharon. Not only does it make for a much more enjoyable day as there is a lot of walking at a Disney park but it came with the added bonus of allowing us to skip many of the ride line-ups. :o)
We rounded out the morning with more rides, the final one being It’s A Small World. Hannah was at a great age for this one and loved it! Her eyes were as round as saucers as she took in as much as she could of the fun and wonder around her.
More of our first day to come…..
Fun times!
ReplyDeleteGlad you are all having a great time. The pictures are great and hannah is SO cute. Enjoy the rest of your vacation.
ReplyDeleteI love the hands in the air on the Dumbo ride.
ReplyDeleteHowever, I must talk to you about the It's a Small World video...
That song will be stuck in my head for the rest of the day now!!!!
HAVE FUN!
Ahh Catherine,
ReplyDeletethere is nothing as wonderful as experiencing Disneyworld through the eyes of a child. I'm praying Russ (hubby of 39yrs) and I will be able to take the youngest 5 to Disney in January. Money being the biggest issue. They've never been and want to go so badly. The eldest grandchildren have been several times.
Sadie (5) has been saving her money for a year now and talks about it every time we get together, which is a lot.
Have fun, fun, fun my dear friend.
God bless You,
Miss Lila
