Hannah's First Christmas

Here are some pics from Hannah's first Christmas! Our day began quietly with just the two of us but then we quickly moved into par*tay mode with family and friends!

Christmas morning at home with Mommy

Breakfast with friends Carol and David and their family - An annual tradition

Christmas with my family. It was great that both my brothers and most of their families were able to be there. We celebrated earlier in the week with the children that couldn't be with us Christmas day.

Finished the day off at Grandma and Grandpa Perkins.

A great day from start to finish filled with love, laughter, turkey and lots of fun!!

I cannot begin to express to you what it is like to wake up to this precious little face each morning!! This year it was God rather than Santa who gave me my very best Christmas gift as Hannah Catherine XiaoFen was placed in my arms November 2nd!!! I love you sweet baby girl!

  1. What a wonderful sight, seeing you and Hannah together for your first Christmas together.

  2. Catherine, I have so enjoyed getting a glimpse into your life with your new baby girl! Every time I read a post, it brings a smile to my face. :) I know this was your best Christmas ever. There is nothing like sharing the day of Jesus' birth with your child! God has indeed given you a great gift. And a mighty sweet one, too.

  3. I'm so very happy that y'all spent this Christmas together. After waiting so very long, I'm sure it felt extra-magical!

  4. I LOVE the last picture!
    What a sweet, sweet face!

    Looks like so much fun!

  5. What a beautiful photo of Hannah and her grandfather enjoying one another. You're right, Catherine, Hannah is the absolute ultimate gift. It's pretty unbelievable that one day a gorgeous baby girl is placed in your arms, and she is forever all yours. Wow! Such a miracle.

  6. Beautiful pictures. The one of Hannah sleeping is gorgeous! Such a sweetheart!

  7. Lovely pictures.
I have to tell you that while I was shoveling snow, a few weeks ago, a very handsome gentleman, about my own age passed by, and I greeted him with enthusiasm. "Who's that?" said my husband, "I don't recognize him."
"Oh, I don't remember his name, but he's very nice. I've seen him often." Then, when I went to the computer lately, I realized I had greeted a man who looks very like your father. In fact, I did not know him at all, but he looked so much like someone I had been seeing a lot! Happy New Year to all of you.

  8. Sounds like a pretty perfect Christmas to me! Isn't it all just so amazing? I still pinch myself.
