Wheee! I'm Here!

It wasn't what you'd call the most direct flight between Toronto and California but it didn't matter because arriving in Salsaville was worth it!!

Originally I was scheduled to fly out of Buffalo (a 3 hour drive from home) but when I contacted the airline with a question about one of my flights they offered to fly me in and out of Toronto! Yay!! Toronto is always my first choice as it's much closer to home but normally the price is just too much. This time had been no exception. When I'd looked into flights last September it was more than $700 more to fly out of Toronto. Ummm...nope! So last week when this gal offered me the option to fly out of Toronto at no additional cost I was super excited!

Soon after boarding my first flight it became evident why there was a change. The gentleman next to me was powering off his cell phone and the picture on his screen was of 2 beautiful young girls, one of which was Asian. I asked if they were his daughters and he said 'yes' and that was it....we were off. David and I talked the entire trip and he was a wealth of knowledge! We talked and talked...and talked and before we knew it we were landing in Atlanta and each hurrying to our next gates. It was a treat to hear about his wife and daughters and some of the wonders they shared together when they travelled to China and since they've been home. Thank you David. It was a pleasure meeting you!!

During the next flight to Salt Lake City I enjoyed the movie Flash of Genius. Great movie that is available on DVD Feb 17th. Mom and Dad, it's one you'll really enjoy and well worth renting! In Salt Lake City I'd hoped to meet up with Lisa but unfortunately it didn't work out. It was all good though as we visited on the phone for over half an hour since we weren't able to be together in person. It was SO good talking to you Lisa! It won't be long now and you'll be receiving 'The Call' with Tate's referral! Cool!!

The last hop was a tiny plane into California. We landed over 1/2 an hour early which was wonderful as it meant the girls were still awake!! Below are some pics of our late night fun!

Excitedly jumping around! Some excitement because Cafrin was here and some because it was 10:00 and they were out of bed!

A hug from Ro! Ahhhh.....I sure have missed those!

Ree introducing me to her new friend, 'Orange Bucket' whom she named after her favourite puke bucket! Lol...gotta love kids!

An absolutely adorable little outfit for Hannah, a gift from M3!

Mmmmm...Wela's Apricot Dream Bars were also waiting! She had dropped off, hot out of the oven, just hours before I arrived! Thanks Wela! They're deelish as you can tell by the damage that was done by us in such a short amount of time!

So happy to be here spending time with precious friends!!
