Check her out!!!
It's funny. Whenever I thought of a child learning to stand I always pictured them beside a couch, chair or table and then thinking, 'OK...I'm going to try standing' and then slowly lifting one hand and then the other and fully concentrating on standing. It was all so methodical in my untrained mind.
Once again, oh how wrong I was! Hannah has been standing holding on to furniture for a couple of weeks now and slowly she's begun to let go. But....she doesn't let go to concentrate on standing, she lets go because she needs her hands to hold something, reach for something or, just to flap in the air! Also, she's learning that her dancing is so much more free if her hands are up in the air!
The big question right now is, 'Will she be walking by her birthday?' My guess is 'yes'....*sniff!!* She's growing up so quickly!!!

Yeah, what a big girl. You are right, they grow up too soon.
ReplyDeleteThey do grow up faster than you realize - treasure every moment =)
ReplyDeleteWow Catherine, she has changed so much in such a short time. I remember MacLean doing the same thing and walking just after her first birthday. How sweet the sounds she is making are so cute. Take care and enjoy that special girl.

Oh yeah, she is well on her way to walking!!
ReplyDeleteIt's times like these that are the strangest with parenthood. You spend the entire time working up to it, loving it when it happens, and feeling like it's such a WONDERFUL moment. Then they no longer are in that old phase and you miss that "other" child deeply. But then, there are the next mile stones ......and it starts over again. Guess these desires both want the next stage, and the desire to be back when you miss it, is just God's way of instilling memories and making families.
ReplyDeleteGlad you filmed the memory. You will look back it when she's 5 and wonder where the time went, while you were spending it with her in your every day life.
What a very clever girl!!! Yes, time is passing too quickly for my liking, for sure.
ReplyDeleteWay to go, Hannah!

Such progress Hannah has made since being with you! In just three months, she has gone from not being able to sit up well alone to almost taking her first step. That's amazing.
