Happy To Have Been Wrong!

When I returned home Thursday I 'had' to check out Rumor Queen to see what had happened while I was away. Because I was leaving town last Saturday I'd updated the Tracking Referrals spreadsheet (click bottom right corner of spreadsheet to make it more legible) prior to CC*AA officially updating their website. When I'd posted about the August referral batch I believed that the referrals would cover 2 days of files and take us to January 27th.

I was thrilled when I returned home to see that CC*AA had updated their website to indicate that referrals covered January 26th - 31st! Wahoo! Not 2 days but 6!!

For those who are not living and breathing the life of international adoption I'll explain that we've come to an interesting point in the log in dates. We are now into the dates that cover the Chinese New Year holiday in 2006 so while the files logged in cover up to January 31st, there were no files logged between the 28th and the 31st.

What it means for me personally is that there are now only 51 calendar days to be matched until I see my sweet Hannah's face! Also, increasing this batch from 2 to 6 days reaffirms more strongly that I'm still on track for a May 2009 referral with travel in July of 2009!! We're getting closer and I'm getting more excited!

It was fun yesterday to retake the picture of the number of stones moving from the left jar to the right. It's more evident to see now that there are more stones in the right jar than the left. Wahoo!!!
