Last week Hannah and I enjoyed a fun day at the zoo with the gal who will be caring for Hannah once I return to work (sniff!!) in mid-August. It was a sunny, hot day and we had a great time with friends touring the zoo.

The gorillas made me laugh! They were running and jumping and all Hannah kept saying was 'Ball! Ball!' When she looked into the cage as there was a large ball in there for them to play with.
Hannah and I stayed for lunch when the others headed home for naps. Hannah decided to nap at the zoo so I enjoyed wandering around and seeing more animals. Polar Bears. Mommy's favourite!
Sleepy XiaoFen
Mommy made her way back across the park in search of a Beaver Tail! Mmmmmm!!! I was going to share but Hannah slept through it so mommy had to eat her portion too. This just means we'll have to go back sometime so that Hannah can enjoy her first taste of a yummy Beaver Tail!
She woke up before we left so we spent a little time playing in the water park. We didn't have enough time left in our day to change Hannah into her bathing suit so she had fun splashing (read: soaking us!) in the water park fountains.

ReplyDeleteSo fun! Those sleeping pictures - simply breathtaking!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a perfect day! The close-up of Hannah's sleeping face is just stunning- what a little beauty you have on your hands!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a beautiful day. And it's wonderful that you can spend time with her caregiver now so that transition will be easier on both of you when the time comes.
ReplyDeleteBeaver Tails - you had Beaver Tails?? I lost my train of thought....
ReplyDeleteZoo looks like it was a good day!!
Looks like so much fun. We love the zoo. And you made me miss carrying my little one around in the Ergo. Such precious moments!

Oh, so sorry that the time is approaching when you have to return to work. I hope it all works out. You are being so smart to seek out time with the new sitter, though. This will ease the transition for you both. :)

ReplyDeleteOh and the swimsuit in the post above, I just bought it this week from children's place for a friend in the UK. It's gorgeous on Hannah - makes me wish Lilah could still fit those smaller baby sizes! all the children;s place sunglasses are reduced to 1.99 at the moment!
