Hannah woke up and we shared our normal morning routine together with hugs, snuggles, stories, songs and more. This is what my bed looks like by the end of our snuggle time each morning and I love it! The only thing missing from this pic is a bunch of little pieces of torn tissue which is sometimes a game we play and Hannah loves. A single Kleenex can entertain her for the longest while!
Sometimes she even wears her fancy jewels to our wake-up party!
I try to keep her on her seat or knees while on the bed but all too often this is what I see and have to encourage her to sit down.
As we shared our wake-up time together I received calls wishing me a Happy 1st Mother's Day. What a treat those were to get! One was from a great friend at church and another was from one of the families we travelled to China with. Thanks Deb and Leslie!!
We went to church together and oh how amazing it was!! Last year I remember crying on a friend's shoulder as Hannah's referral was still months away and my heart longed to know and hold my baby girl. How different it was this year as I held Hannah in the service watching her clap to the music, 'sing', munch on Cheerios and then drink her bottle and off to sleep she went so that Mom could enjoy the sermon about...Hannah! There was also a beautiful video of the Mom's and their children. How amazing it was to see pictures of Hannah and I! Here are the ones I sent in for us. (My parent's and I attend different churches so I didn't submit one of her this time)
Lunch was shared with Grandma and Papa Perkins, Great-Grandma and Great-Grandpa Dale.
For supper Hannah and I went out with Grandma and Grandpa Ryan and Hannah's cousin Rebecca. We had a great time together! We took a few pictures outside afterwards but it was so bright that they didn't really turn out too well. Too bad as the location was down by Lake Ontario and very pretty.
