The Sound of Music!!

Sharon and I treated the girls to a night of live theatre for their birthdays. What fun it was to go and see, 'The Sound of Music' together! The girls have both enjoyed the movie and for years Sharon and I have enjoyed hearing them sing the songs in the car and talk about their favourite parts of the movie. Last night we were able to enjoy it in Toronto and it was amazing!! So many neat effects that I hadn't anticipated but will leave as surprises for those who are able to go see it. If you're in the area or visiting sometime, I'd highly recommend going to see it!

This video isn't from the Toronto production but is such fun to watch! I was introduced to it last week when Ford posted it on their blog. I later found out that the first dancer who was also the choreographer is a local guy. Hope you enjoy this as much as I did. I couldn't help but grin from ear to ear watching it!

Not sure why the picture keeps freezing but if you double click the video it will take you to the Y*uT*be version and you can watch it there without the stops. It's well worth it!

  4. Have just seen that video and it is great. I'm glad you enjoyed the show. I saw it years ago when Marie Osmond was Maria... I loved it.
Were the girls just crazy excited to be there?

  5. OK...crying!!! That video is amazing!!! I had heard about it, but not seen it. Thanks for posting it. For a few minutes everyone joined in the fun and beauty of the moment. Cares were forgotten, if only for a minute, and a pleasure was enjoyed.

Loved it!!! Glad you and the 'girls' had such a wonderful evening. I'm still hoping to go and see the production.

    Hugs,

  8. Imagine that .... a show you can take kids to .... who'da thought it?
SOM is a solid show that keeps crankin' out good things. There are no surprizes .... just good entertainment with a wonderful story of redemption.
I'm dating myself here .... I saw the original production with Mary Martin & Theodore Bikel in New York when I was probably 7 or 8 years old. Oy!
Blessings to you and Hannah as you continue to inch your way toward referral. Had we not gone SN, we very well may have met up in China - our LIDs are a day apart - not to mention that Joanna Mei was always meant to be our daughter. We will pray for you, Hannah & CCAA - for His will in the timing and placement. Hannah wll have such a great mom!
