China Travel Group Dinner

Our travel group initially met over 2 years ago but hadn't been together for a long time. With our referrals now anticipated within the next 6 months or so, we decided it was time to get together again. We met for dinner and had a wonderful time visiting, getting caught up on what's been happening in our lives and talking excitedly of our upcoming referrals and travels. Those of us who are newbies to IA were also happy to learn from Leslie and Marj who had great tips to share with us. There were a few families absent this time but we look forward to seeing them next time around.

Here are some of the families whom I will be sharing the amazing journey to Hannah with:

Russ, Leslie and Lotus

Robert and Bonnie

Marj and Kayla (missed you Tony)

Peter, Anna and Adam

I am so thankful that our agency forms travel groups made up of families who live so close to one antother. It's great to get to know them now and will be a real blessing in the future when we can get together after our children are home!

  1. HOW FUN!!!!
    Looks like a Great Time..
    Have a Great Week..

  2. I think it's great that you guys get to get together!

  3. Is that your whole batch? Looks like a nice size! We only have 4 families in our batch - but on some blogs I see there are up to 20 families in a batch?!!

  4. Oh that's great. So glad you were able to get together with at least some of your travel group. You have no idea how much you will share with these people! :)

  5. Thanks once again Catherine for organizing such a nice evening. Good to see everyone again. Nice pictures, too!

  6. How wonderful to have this group.. I know you have many people around the world following you and there for you, but so special to have the people you will travel with so close... Don't have to tell you to have fun during the wait!!! Linda

  7. It looks like everyone had a great time!!! We had w Waiting Families dinner this weekend also, it was alot of fun, but not as many people showed up like before.

    Love, K

  8. This is the first time I have left a comment, and a newbie to your blog. I adopted our daughter 2 years ago from China. Last night was our annual celebration dinner for all the girl's birthdays as they are all born in the same month. We make a point of seeing one another at least 2-3 times a year. Even though we all live within an hour of one another it is harder than I thought to get together. Now that the girls are getting older I can see we will need to make a greater effort to visit as our daughter gets very excited now when we talk about her "China Sister".
You are doing a great thing getting to know your travel buddies early on, as you will be spending the rest of your lives together. Getting a lot of the formalities over with before meeting your daughters or traveling together is a very wise move.

From balmy BC, Canada. No snow yet for us :)

  9. So happy you had a chance to get together with your travel group.
