Today was a beautiful snowy day and according to the weather man, it's only the beginning. 2 more storms are forecasted over the next week so it looks like there will be lots more opportunities to bond with my shovel. After putting up this post I'm going to enjoy a nice hot bath as I'm sure my back and muscles will be reminding me tomorrow that I haven't shovelled since last year.
The really neat thing is that we're going to have a white Christmas for sure! Yay! I don't remember the last time we knew by December 19th that there would be snow for sure. I love a white Christmas so this is a real treat!
One of the other bonuses today was that they sent us home from work just after noon. This hasn't happened for a number of years so it was fun especially the week before Christmas.
This picture shows how quickly the snow was falling!
Speaking of snow, Ro and Ree were able to enjoy their first snow experience this week! Hey girls, this pic is for you! Cafrin made a snow angel and will be happy to teach you how when we're together in February if we can find ourselves some snow! Sound good? (Friends, you would have laughed if you'd seen me making this snow angel. I loved making them as a kid but hadn't made one in years but tonight was the night! I waited for all the traffic to pass then quickly laid down and pretended I was a kid again! The snow was falling on my face and it was a fun step back in time!)
Merry Christmas friends! I hope many of you are able to enjoy a white Christmas too!

Wow, that is a beautiful snow angel!!! You are definitely in charge of teaching the girls how to do it. Loved all the pics of the snow - just gorgeous. See you soon.
ReplyDeleteWow, that is beautiful! I am a long long time reader but I haven't commented yet (I know, shame on me!) but I can't WAIT to see you posting pictures of next year, you and Hannah making snow angels together :) Hannah is going to have SO much fun with you!
ReplyDeleteActually, we're hoping for a sunny Christmas :) It did snow here in 1989. You can't imagine how crazy people acted :) Then again, you've been down here so I'm sure you do!

Love the pics! So beautiful!
ReplyDeleteNo white Christmas here. So sad! It is going to be in the high 60's today.
You are never too old to make snow angels... traffic or not. And yours is perfect! I love the way you see the beauty and joy in everything, like snow... what a wonderful trait you will be able to pass along to Hannah.
ReplyDeleteI do love a white Christmas and have been thoroughly enjoying this snow. Great pics.
Your enthusiasm is amazing! When I hear snow storm all I want to do is stay at home and not go anywhere. Glad it's going to be a white Christmas.
ReplyDeleteWe definitely have the White Stuff. It has snowed about 7 or 8 times this month already. So we are covered for our White Christmas though we will be in Phoenix.
ReplyDeleteI'll have to admit that I'm very jealous of you! It's in the 60s here :( Thankfully, it's supposed to get cold again for Christmas (and by cold, I mean like... high 40s or 50s!) Maybe someday I'll get to experience a white Christmas... The pictures are BEAUTIFUL!

I'm with you on the whole white Christmas thing . . . LOVE it! Especially since a few days before we got this latest dump of snow it was really muddy and dirty looking. I love the fresh snow and boy did we get it! The kids had a snow day on Friday . . . very exciting!
ReplyDeleteHope you had a successful (and fun) shopping trip today. :)

P.S. That is a perfect snow angel. It looks like you floated up off of the snow when you were done because you can't even see where you got up! You'll have to teach me your trick.
